The USS Enterprise-E arrived on the scene, and Captain Jean-Luc Picard took command of the fleet. During this part of the conflict, the ship with Admiral Hayes on was destroyed. The first attack failed, and the Borg cube made it as far as Earth. The fleet was banded together by Admiral Hayes in the Typhon sector, where they were to intercept the Borg ship.
